Construction Nitty Gritty – if you are interested

This unit has been completely torn down to the ground and rebuilt to exceed code: the floor has 5″ of gravel, moisture barrier, 2″ of foam insulation, and a 4″ slab. The walls are protected with foundation wrap that ties into a weeping tile system to ensure any moisture penetration is removed. The ceilings are all 8′ high with no ductwork. The ceilings are insulated above with sound and fire insulation and have two 1/2″ sheets of drywall suspended from the joists with resilient channel. All new plumbing (3/4″ pipe from the city means no water pressure issues) and electrical wiring.
